September 5, 2022 – Residents at St. Camillus hold monthly meetings lead by their elected co-presidents, Mary Lou Thompson and Marion Hennessey, giving everyone who resides at St. Camillus a voice. Recently, the group decided they wanted to help those in the Palliative Care Unit, giving the room a more home-like feel when families come to visit. The committee members took turns selling tickets for a chance to win basket raffles on display in the main lobby at St. Camillus — and they were quite successful! All funds raised were used to purchase items of care to help families feel extra comfortable with their loved ones during palliative care visits. Items purchased included a mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker with a supply of K-cups, a table with stools for additional seating and serene wall art with a cozy quilt for their loved one. Thank you, St. Camillus Resident Council, for your thoughtfulness, generosity and kind hearts!
