Our team came together to support Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and recognize The Longest Day—a powerful movement honoring those impacted by Alzheimer’s. Held on the summer solstice, The Longest Day symbolizes shining light on a disease that affects memory, families, and so many lives. It is this Sunday, June 21. Purple is the official color of Alzheimer’s awareness, representing strength, dignity, and the unwavering fight to end this disease. At St. Camillus, we stand in support of our residents, families, and caregivers—today and every day. 💜

Our St. Camillus gentlemen brought their best looks—and their favorite pastimes—to this fun photo shoot. From the greens⛳️ to the lanes🎳, fishing🐟 to baseball⚾️ and even king 👑 for a day, these men proved style and skill never go out of fashion! 📸😎We loved hearing stories about their hobbies, and they proved that they truly are, well, DAPPER!

We are excited to share the incredible success of this year’s Resident Council Raffle at St. Camillus! Thanks to the amazing support from our community, we raised over $650—the highest total we’ve ever achieved! 👏All proceeds go directly to supporting the Resident Council, a dedicated group made up of our residents who help enhance life and activities here at St. Camillus.
And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… 🥁
✨ Congratulations to our raffle winner - Rita! ✨
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this event such a success. Your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of our residents. The upcoming weekend marks the Summer Solstice - the official start of summer. Sunday is also the longest day of the year, the day that shines with the most sunlight.
On this day, people from around the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's Disease, "The Longest Day". 💜💜💜
Please wear PURPLE this on WEDNESDAY, June 17th, to show our support for those living with this horrible disease, and to respectfully honor those who are no longer with us.

🏀 Our Unit-to-Unit Basketball Challenge brought the NBA Finals to our home court right here at St. Camillus! We dribbled up some fun with our friends.... A special shoutout to one of our residents, a former Syracuse University basketball player, who showed us he’s still got game 👏This activity was definitely a SLAM DUNK🏀⛹️♂️⛹️♀️⛹️And of course… we’re cheering on the Knicks all the way 🧡💙 #GoKnicks

Very special visitors stopped by St. Camillus! 💙🎓🎓🎓
Graduates from Bishop Ludden-Grimes Junior/Senior High School spent time with our residents sharing wisdom “Senior to Senior”—proving that great advice has no age limit. From life lessons to laughter, family, careers and so much more... wisdom was shared across generations. ✨ Here's some of the advice shared by our "Seniors" at St. Camillus:
- "Don't give up on yourself, and DON'T look back"
- "Opportunity will come to you - do not push it aside"
- " You can DO it, keep plugging away"
- "Have confidence in God. He won't quit you."
- "Be open to learning new things, in new ways"
- "Remember family is the MOST important thing in the world. Listen to them, they'll teach you how to grow."
Pretty Solid advice, we'd say.
